I used C++ code to translate explicit images of the female body into ASCII art. Given ASCII art’s effectiveness when viewed from a distance, it was an ideal visual communication method for displaying across a room on a wall. The experience of seeing a lewd image from afar, only to reveal its encoded nature upon closer inspection reflects the truth of viewing deepfake pornography. The female body is broken down to a set of data. The final deliverable was laser-cut on cast acrylic and hand assembled. My clock was sold for $85.00 USD at the 17th annual poster show fundraiser.
