Originally the project encomposes creating icons for each step of a recipe. The final deliverable was negotiable, and I decided upon a Monstessori style cooking app for kids. Visual communication is a universal language across ages and languages, making it an ideal learning assistance for children.
To assist with learning, a crew of characters joins kids along each recipe. Each character repersents a different lesson and section for recipes. Characters are in order: Lucky, Quirky, Happy, Grumpy, Weary, and Yummy.
To create a smooth learning experience that doesn’t discourage kids, more mature cooking lessons are interspersed with simplified lessons tailored for children. This blend of fun activities and cooking ensures a seamless and engaging experience for young learners.
